Today I travelled to the outskirts of Guildford for a lovely personalised and intimate ceremony for a really wonderful couple. Whilst the service was a of a fairly traditional nature, we weaved many personal details into the ceremony wording, and as a surprise for the bride and groom, we arranged for their twin grandsons to stand and make promises just before the couple said their own vows. It was a lovely emotional moment and al the guests enjoyed this really personal touch.
It was a room full of close family and friends, and the bride's best friend read a really moving piece that she had written, words that described their friendship and how happy everyone is that they have both joined together in marriage.
The bride herself had a surprise for her guests (it was even kept secret from me!) and despite some technical hitches, she managed to sing a song to round off the ceremony before walking back up the aisle.
Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Preston. . .I hope you enjoy the rest of your celebrations.
I look forward to sharing some of the official photographs soon!
