My busy bank holiday weekend was rounded off with a lovely family celebration in Berkshire. This family were acknowledging both of their children and welcoming them into the fold with a personalised naming day ceremony. With four guard parents each, the little girl and boy were made promises, and each guard parent accepted their roles and responsibilities for the future. We weaved some wonderfully personal and poignant details into the wording, and the whole family enjoyed a sand ceremony with no fewer than 16 participants, all pouring different coloured sands into a heart shaped vase, and creating a beautiful keepsake for each child. The ceremony was finished off by the children pouring glitter on top, which completed this lovely family ritual.

Congratulations to Nic and Marc and their beautiful children (who were both extremely well behaved today!), and may your lives continue to be full of love, laughter and happiness.
