Ceremony Under a Tree! (Gildings Barn)

Wow!  What a perfect day it was on Saturday for my fabulous outdoorsy couple.  My groom is a landscape gardener, and my bride works with livestock, and so their ceremony under a tree surrounded by fields full of sheep was wonderfully fitting!

I have been working with this pair for months, making sure their unique ceremony reflected them and had just the right amount of sentiment, humour and spiritual references and elements.

From the very start of the wedding, the bridal party's entrance was perfectly choreographed, the positioning at the front was fabulous, as everyone could see my couple's faces, their expressions and join in with their laughter throughout the ceremony.

We had two readings, the first read by a duo (two of the couples close friends) which was amazing!  They wrote it especially and it was so lovely that I made sure we had a copy in the couple's keepsake folder after the ceremony.

The second was a beautiful reading by the groom's sister, which was followed by the couples vow and ring exchange.  Before their first kiss we concluded things with a five-cord handfasting, with bindings made in different coloured ribbon cords, each representing a different area of their lives and relationship.  The couples mums came up to complete the ritual, and I then tied them all together to symbolise their union and the commitment they had just made.

The couple walked back up the aisle to rapturous applause and then a blanket of bubbles descended as they glided past and received their glass of prosecco.

I had such wonderful feedback after this wedding, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with these two great people.

Congrats Mr & Mrs Brunwin!
