I have worked a lot at this lovely venue in Surrey, as it sits just over ten minutes from my home, but it has gone through a huge transition lately, with a move from a chain hotel (they were part of the DeVere group) to a beautiful independent venue.

As the venue's recommended celebrant, I had followed their progress with interest and today had a catch up meeting with the lovely Celeste to chat all things weddings.

As I entered the drive, I caught my first glimpse of the new Garden Suite, a fully self-contained wedding and events facility nestled in amongst the pine trees and I couldn't wait to have a closer look. Celeste is a huge advocate of personal celebrant-led weddings and we are working closely together to create a really lovely offering for her couples.

I was delighted to see the refurbishments that have been carried out and the main house was looking so bright and has a really relaxed but luxe feel. It is licensed for 90 people but can hold 100+ with a celebrant celebration (another big benefit!).

The views out across the terrace and lawns are just incredible and I recalled details of my outdoor weddings here in this amazing setting, and talked about how we can create some really special celebrations for couples outside.

As part of the refurbishment and improvements to the facilities, they have installed a beautiful long decked pathway that leads down from the main house, through the pine wooded area (which by the way would make a stunning wedding or vow renewal setting!) to the gorgeous new Garden Suite.

Built very much with modern weddings in mind, this new event space can hold 200 people for a celebrant-led wedding, has a fabulous barn and terrace area with brand new patio furniture for alfresco drinks, and has the most amazing outlook across the grounds back up to the house.

This venue has really looked at what couples want and now offers two key indoor spaces (the main house and the garden Suite) as well as a wooded area, and the lawns for outdoor ceremonies. It really does have everything!

They have even increased the accommodation on site by almost another 20 bedrooms so that they can cater overnight for larger weddings and events too.

I am thrilled to be continuing my relationship with this venue and look forward to lots of lovely weddings here again in the near future.
